I posted Marc Bergevin's very recent long interview from Los Angeles, where he lives. Kings fired GM, Rob Blake today 5.5.25. Bergevin could well be the Kings first choice. Most choices seem stale, heavily recycled. I don't want Holland/Bergevin, and prefer Lou Lamoriello to many of them.

My perference if it's a tie on all angles is the lady from the Devils. Yes, this franchise needs attention as Liberty got, it is about the business for me, and there is no market east of Queens border to produce revenue to fill the seats 41 times, that's not realistic even if this team goes 41-0, which is why I want them back at Barclay's in the right location with more demographics to draw from. A building only filled with other teams fans--as we have seen for decades is not where the New York Islanders belong.

You get the best player available, in 2009 they picked wrong, went for the scoring, but Hedman turned out the best of the three players. The scoring is always tempting especially in this organization devoid of scoring in system. It's a very tough call. Trading down/getting something more always an option.

Far different in 2023-24 vs 2025. In 2023-24 scored more goals, and despite losing leads/games in overtime got many games to overtime so they gained a point which was the difference in a playoff spot vs not getting one.

Often I wrote name of the game is don't lose in regulation. In 2024-25 they scored fewer goals so they got fewer games to overtime, regardless if they blew leads. That's why they failed to qualify, and despite games last season they cameback and got points for a brief period in 2024-25.
